Notice of Additional Investment in Luxonus

Keio Innovation Initiative has made an additional investment in Luxonus, a startup company originating from Keio University School of Medicine, from a fund managed by our company. The total amount raised in this round is approximately 600 million yen.

Luxonus is a university-launched venture that aims to commercialize a general-purpose imaging device that enables early detection and diagnosis of diseases using its proprietary photoacoustic 3D imaging (PAI-3D) technology. With this funding, Luxonus aims to promote the development of a mass-produced device and launch it as a physical and chemical device for research institutions in 2021 and as a medical device for medical institutions in 2022.
